WORK is progressing at pace on a new high street Marks & Spencer foodhall.
The retailer is set to open a store in New Milton this spring.
M&S has taken on the Station Road site, which was previously occupied by Co-op.
The large unit in the centre of the New Forest town has been empty for many years.
An M&S spokesperson said: “We are really looking forward to opening a new M&S Foodhall in New Milton on Station Road later this spring.
"We will be sure to keep the local community updated as works on the site continue to progress.”

The national chain recently secured planning permission from New Forest District Council to carry out alterations to the front and rear of the shop and new signage.
The windows of the shop are currently blacked out as work continues on getting the store ready for opening.
M&S has not yet confirmed an opening date for the store and staff vacancies are currently being listed online.
