DONATIONS for people in Ukraine are being accepted again at Castlepoint.

The shopping centre paused donations on Thursday after being overwhelmed by the amount of items given.

People will be able to take donations to the former Argos store between 9am and 5pm today (Friday, March 4) and from 10am to 3pm over the weekend.

Over the last three days, volunteers have helped to sort and pack over 150 palettes.

Posting on Facebook on Thursday, a Castlepoint spokesperson said: "Another incredible day! Thank you to ALL of our volunteers for helping to sort and pack over 150 palettes in just 3 days! We are blown away by the generosity of our local community.

"Thank you all! Another load full of your donations has left Bournemouth and is on it’s way to help those in need."

Anyone donating items is being asked to box them up and label what is inside to help save volunteers time.

Volunteers are still being welcomed and people can just show up at the vacant unit which is located next to JD Sports.
