WORK on the Castlepoint car park is now in its “final phase” with a new section recently opened for use.
Officials have said the wait for a construction free car park at the shopping centre complex in Bournemouth is nearly over with just the section outside Asda left to complete.
A Castlepoint spokesperson said: “We have opened up a new section of the car park on the upper and lower deck. We are now on the final phase of the car park reconstruction and the section of car park outside Asda is now being worked on.
“Asda customers wanting to park on the upper deck can either use the internal ramp at the B&Q entrance or the Sainsbury’s ramp for the red car park.”
The section currently under construction outside Asda is sandwiched between the red car park, which stretches from Sainsbury’s to Marks and Spencer’s, and the recently completed blue car park outside B&Q.
