AN ARREST has been made after police received a report of threats being made with what was believed to be an air pistol.
Police were called to New Park Road in Bournemouth on Thursday after a man had been reportedly threatened. Officers later detained a man in Christchurch.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “Dorset Police received a report at 10.42am on Thursday, March 10, that a man had been threatened at an address in New Park Road in Bournemouth by another man who was in possession of what was believed to be an air pistol.
“Officers attended and, following enquiries, a man was detained in Christchurch High Street in connection with the incident.
“He was arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.”
