A PERSON was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash involving a van and a pedestrian.

Road closures were put in place in Lansdowne Road in Bournemouth on Thursday evening.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “Dorset Police received a report at 7.41pm on Thursday, March 10 of a collision involving a van and a pedestrian on Lansdowne Road in Bournemouth.

“Officers attended with the ambulance service. The road was closed at the junction with Milton Road and Cemetery junction.

“The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital by the ambulance service.”
