A DRIVER has been given eight points after being caught without insurance and a provisional licence.
Officers from the Dorset Police No Excuse team found the woman driving with two children in the car.
A spokesperson for the team said: “The driver of this vehicle had come to notice previously for driving document offences by the No Excuse team - having a provisional licence and no insurance, at court she received eight points and a fine.
“We received information she was continuing to drive and was subject to Op Dragoon due to concerns regarding her licence and insurance again but now with children.
“We stopped this vehicle today with the same female in the driving seat, still with a provisional licence and no insurance, but this time we located two children in the back of the vehicle, aged two years and six months.
“She received another ticket to court and the vehicle was seized - this time she’s likely now to be disqualified.
“As always, we have a duty to inform agencies of what happened today to protect the children.”
