A BID to gain a licence to serve alcohol for a new Thai tapas restaurant in Bournemouth has been approved after concerns over crime and disorder were withdrawn.
Applicant Cerise Tuvey sought permission for a premises licence for 128 Charminster Road to run a restaurant with bar facilities in the former pharmacy building.
Objections had been raised by ward councillors Mark Anderson and Cheryl Johnson despite Dorset Police saying they had reached an agreement with Ms Tuvey over conditions linked to the licence.
The application was due to go before BCP Council's licensing sub-committee earlier this month.

However, Cllr Anderson and Cllr Johnson withdrew their objections before the meeting, which allowed it to be granted by officers.
The premises licence allows the business to serve alcohol from 10am to 2am, with the premises open from 10am to 2.30am.
