A MAN has been handed a court bill of more than £30,000 for a Value Added Tax offence related to construction groundworks.
Craig Pistaszczuk, aged 37, pleaded guilty to supplying goods or services without giving a security when required in breach of the Value Added Tax Act 1994.
Court papers state that between September 29, 2020, and February 28, 2021, in Poole the defendant supplied construction groundworks by All Groundworks Ltd in contravention of a notice of requirement dated September 30, 2020.
The court heard he was in contravention of a condition requiring him to give a security for the payment of any VAT which was or may have become due from him.
Pistaszczuk, whose address was given as East Howe Lane, Kinson, was fined £13,400 at a Poole Magistrates' Court hearing on March 7.
He was also ordered to pay £16,769.30 compensation, £150 surcharge and £85 costs.
