A STATIONERY and office supply store appears to have become the latest outlet to close its doors in Bournemouth town centre.
Smiggle stationery shop, located between Office and Accessorize at the bottom of Old Christchurch Road near the Square, apparently shut quietly this month after almost six years of trading.
There is no signage to confirm its closure, however the site is empty and an employee from a neighbouring business said the store has “closed down”.
Popular with children, Smiggle is an Australian-based retailer that sells stationery and related accessories and was founded in Melbourne in 2003. It opened its Bournemouth store in 2016.
Another Smiggle store opened in Poole’s Dolphin Shopping Centre shortly after.
This follows several other town centre retailers to close in recent months, including House of Fraser and Wilko.
