A force spokesman said: “It was reported that a man had assaulted two male victims with a bottle. The victims required treatment for lacerations.
“It was further reported that the man allegedly responsible for the assault had been the victim of a robbery, with his bike and a bag stolen.”
A 22-year-old Bournemouth man was arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent and three male teenagers – an 18-year-old from Basingstoke, a 17-year-old from Basingstoke and a 17-year-old from Southampton – were arrested on suspicion of robbery.
The spokesman said all four arrested people had been released under investigation as detectives from Bournemouth CID carry out further enquiries.
