A NEW YMCA charity shop in Dorset will be throwing open its doors to customers, volunteers and staff, from 9am on Saturday.
YMCA Blandford Forum, which is part of a network of YMCA charity shops across England and Wales, will be situated on East Street and is welcoming local people to come along and mark its grand opening.
Funds raised by sales of donated goods from the new shop will go towards supporting young people both locally and nationally, with YMCA Bournemouth benefiting directly.
The official opening will begin at 10.30am with special guests joining for the ribbon cutting, including the Deputy Town Mayor.
YMCA Blandford charity shop is part of YMCA England & Wales, the oldest and largest youth charity in the world.
Money raised at YMCA charity shops is used to help transform the lives of young people across almost 700 local communities, from providing a warm bed for homeless young people to delivering mental health advice and counselling for those in need.
