TWO arrests have been made after hours of police negotiation following an aggravated burglary involving a sword in West Howe.
Dorset Police received a report at around 5am of a disturbance at an address in Verney Close on Thursday, March 24.
It is reported that a man entered the property while in possession of a sword and made threats to the occupant, before leaving the home.
Officers subsequently attended an address in Fernheath Road to carry out arrest enquiries.
One man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries to his arm.

Following efforts to engage with a second man inside the address, entry was gained and he was also arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary at 11.20am.
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
