POLICE are hunting the driver of a recently discovered car thought to have been involved in rural crimes in Dorset and Hampshire.
While working in partnership, Dorset Police and Hampshire Constabulary spotted a silver Suzuki Vitara at around 8pm on Sunday March 20. The driver, upon seeing police, reversed off a garage forecourt on the A338 in Ringwood and failed to stop.
The vehicle, which had no number plate affixed to the car, was later located by Dorset Police in Poole.
A police spokesperson said: “We have carried out initial enquiries to identify the driver of the vehicle. However, we are now asking anyone who may have dash-cam footage, or was perhaps in the area at the time and has a description of the driver, to come forward as this could aid our investigation.
“We appreciate that this isn't the clearest image.”
Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting reference number 44220113617.
