A PEDESTRIAN has died following a hit and crash in New Milton.
The woman, who is aged in her 70s, died at the scene of the crash in Old Milton Road at around 7.20pm on Thursday, March 24.
The driver of the car, a 25-year-old man from New Milton, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, causing death by due care while over prescribed limit and causing death by driving a vehicle while unlicensed or uninsured.

He has also been arrested on suspicion of the theft of a motor vehicle, failing to stop after a road accident and driving a vehicle when alcohol level above limit.
He remains in custody at this time.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: “Enquiries are ongoing into the exact circumstances of the collision.
"Anyone with information which may assist officers, particularly anyone with dash cam footage, should call 101 quoting the reference 44220117365.”
