FLIP OUT, an indoor adventure park with bumper cars, soft play and an ice rink could be taking over the old Marks and Spencer site in Poole.

A planning application has been submitted to BCP Council for a £2.5 million superstore stretching more than 40,000 sq. ft. in the Dolphin Shopping Centre.

If permission is granted it is understood the centre will bring around 60 part-time and 20 full-time jobs to the area and could be open by Christmas.

Next to Flip Out will be Putt Putt Noodle, a crazy golf experience, with three Asian-themed nine-hole courses.

A 3-hour session at Flip Out will cost around £20 and the park will offer discounted family pass tickets.

Visitors wanting to try out the golf on the Great Wall of China, the Cambodian Jungle or the Cherry Blossom Spa courses will pay around £9 per nine holes.

Greg Westover, fund head of retail and leisure at Legal and General, said: “Following the departure of M&S from the Dolphin Centre, Legal & General is delighted to be working with Flip Out as they submit a planning application to take over the unit.

"To be able to provide an experience-based offering like this in the midst of all our other retailers is extremely positive and we hope everyone is just as thrilled as we are.

“The granting of planning will be fantastic for the Dolphin, bringing something fresh and exciting to Poole town centre. Bringing this unique offering to the centre is another huge step towards us future-proofing and expanding our retail experience, providing choice, and more than just shopping opportunities for our local community.”
