IT’S snow joke. Just when you thought it was safe to pack away the gloves, winter is set to bite today.
But don’t get the sledge and shovel out just yet as it doesn’t sound like we’ll expecting a white out.
Twitter-based forecaster Dorset Sun said: “Expecting plenty of us to see some snow flakes today. Remember to get your pictures and videos in. Showers expected after midday.”
In his Wintry Watch, Dorset Sun said: “Tomorrow afternoon some more organised wintry showers will develop and move southwards. These will likely be a mix of rain, graupel, hail, sleet and snow. No accumulations are likely.”

Bournemouth & Poole Weather said: “It’s a chilly start, a north easterly breeze will make it feel cold this morning despite some brighter spells. Still feeling cool this afternoon with some showery rain moving in and max temps just 9 or 10C.”
According to the Met Office, it will feel like just 5C by 3pm today.
And this evening temperatures are set to tumble even further.
It will feel like a very chilly -4C at midnight and 1am.
However, it will feel even colder as the night goes on.
And by 6am on Friday morning it will feel like a very cold -7C.
During the day the feels-like temperature will be 5C.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for parts of the UK for snow and ice this morning.
However, this does not include Dorset.
