DORSET Police have said they were "all over the county" yesterday as motorists were caught for a "myriad of offences". 

The 'No Excuse' team stopped a white Citroën was shown as having no insurance. The driver, and her husband who 'deals with the insurance' told police it was insured.

Officers called the couple's insurance company and found it was not insured and the MOT had expired three weeks ago.

The vehicle seized and the driver issued with a fixed penalty.

A Ford truck was stopped for excessive tints, only allowing 30 per cent light.

Police said the driver claimed that the company that fitted them had said they were legal. However they were not legal and the driver was issued with a fixed penalty.

Finally, a white van was showing a white light to the rear due to a damaged break light casing, when stopped the police discovered the vehicle had no MOT.

The driver was issued with a fixed penalty.
