A 17th century Inn situated in an area of exceptional natural beauty - The Fleur de Lys Inn is our Pub of the Week.
The Fleur de Lys Inn can be found in Cranborne, a short drive from the New Forest, and has quickly become a focal point for the delightful village.
The friendly pub is partnered with Hall and Woodhouse, but offers its own unique and regularly changing menu, with all dishes sourced from the surrounding area.
General manager Tony Wright, who has been at The Fleur de Lys Inn since October last year, said: “Everything we serve is sustainable and locally sourced.
“We get all the vegetables and meat from literally up the road, and then we get fresh fish and shellfish from Poole Quay.”
Diners mustn’t worry about their food being cooked to perfection- The Fleur de Lys Inn boasts an impressive head chef, Charlie Farwell, who trained at the Ritz for five years.
Tony added: “You get fresh local produce, cooked by a very good chef and served by nice staff.”
The Fleur de Lys Inn specialises in dry aged meat, with a steak night running on Wednesdays, where ordering selected dishes will get you a free bottle of house wine.
The pub also offers pizzas on Saturday between 3pm and 6pm, and the summer months will see this service moved outside to the Fleur de Lys Inn pizza ovens.

Sundays at the Fleur de Lys Inn are very popular too, with a tasty selection of roasts on offer. Tony said: “We do over 100 Sunday lunches every weekend.
“We have roast chicken, roast lamb and roast beef. We have a whole oven-baked fish on and then we do a vegetarian roast as well.”
The evening gets even more exciting on a Sunday at The Fleur de Lys Inn, with a quiz night hosted every other week between 7pm and 9pm.

Now, for the important part, dogs are very much welcome.
Tony said: “Dogs are allowed everywhere, even in the bedrooms. They’ll get their own beds and treats.”
