A POPULAR seafront restaurant in Bournemouth has applied to extend their building.
Hot Rocks at Pier Approach want to extend the restaurant on the first floor of the premises at Bournemouth seafront.
The restaurant is currently closed following a fire last year.
And while there is no re-opening date at present, plenty of work appears to have been done to repair and redecorate following the incident.
Customers who have been following the repairs on the restaurant's social media have been told the company will update as soon as they have a date to open their doors again.
The planning application for the site says work would ideally take place during the forthcoming close season to minimise impact on summer operations.
"Whilst there will be a need to provide strict areas of safety during the works programme, as the anticipated proposal size is limited, these should not greatly impact on the public’s enjoyment of the existing leisure facilities in the area", a design and access statement as part of the planning application says.
