Road closures were put in place in Bournemouth this morning over a concern for welfare incident.
Police were called to the bridge over the A338 on Lansdowne Road at 5.42am following a call raising concern for the welfare of a woman.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "Officers attended and engaged with the woman.
"She was taken to safety shortly after 7am and given appropriate care.
"Road closures were put in place as a precaution during the incident."
