A MOTORCYCLIST from Bournemouth has been handed a driving ban after speeding at 90mph on a Poole dual carriageway.
Phillip John Plowman pleaded guilty to a single count of speeding in relation to his driving on a Kawasaki motorcycle on the Dorset Way on March 20 last year.
The 62-year-old appeared in the dock for sentencing at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on April 5.
Court papers stated that he was travelling between 85mph and 105mph, but mainly at 90mph.
The bench handed him a £360 fine along with an order to pay £36 surcharge and £110 costs.
Plowman, whose address was given as Persley Road, Bournemouth, was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 14 days.
