A POPULAR fast-food chain is piloting a new initiative in Dorset.
McDonald’s will be explaining where the fast-food chain's produce comes from and providing information about a career in farming and agriculture.
The activity is part of McDonald’s ongoing efforts to challenge misconceptions around careers in farming and encourage more young people to consider a role in the industry.
The activity day will see inner-city secondary school students from Birmingham visit Dorset. They will first visit North Wootton near Sherborne on April 20.
During the visit, the students will also receive advice from team members and its suppliers about pursuing careers in the sector, and will get a behind the scenes look at a McDonald’s in action at the brand’s Dorchester restaurant.
