BOURNEMOUTH Parkrun has been cancelled this weekend due to an unauthorised encampment.

The event was due to go ahead on Saturday, April 16, at Kings Park.

In a post on social media, Bournemouth Parkrun said: “Due to another unauthorised encampment on the parkrun course, we are unfortunately having to cancel this weekend’s parkrun.

“Hopefully they will have moved on shortly and we will be back for the 23rd April.”

As reported by the Daily Echo yesterday, the group of travellers are believed to have moved onto the site on Tuesday.

Around six caravans and vehicles are currently at Kings Park.
