POLICE officers have been patrolling Bournemouth town centre as Dorset Police’s Operation Fireglow was introduced this weekend.
Officers from Bournemouth Central and Bournemouth East neighbourhood teams have been out on foot patrol in the lower gardens and pier approach area.
The high visibility patrol was for Operation Fireglow, a project which involves Dorset Police working alongside BCP Council to protect young and vulnerable people, while preventing violence, disorder and anti-social behaviour in the town.
During Saturday night's patrol, officers stop checked two males and a vehicle following a suspected drug deal. An e-scooter was also seized.
In a Facebook post, Bournemouth Police issued a reminder that e-scooters are illegal to ride in a public place without insurance and officers will take action where necessary.
