A MAN has been spared an immediate prison sentence for an assault in Bournemouth.
Joe Oliver John Tomlinson, aged 28, was accused of unlawfully and maliciously wounding a man on June 5 last year.
Tomlinson, whose address was given as Lorne Park Road, Bournemouth, previously pleaded guilty to the offence, which took place in Redhill Avenue.
Appearing in the dock at Poole Magistrates’ Court for sentencing on Thursday, April 14, the defendant was committed to prison for 18 weeks, suspended for 18 months.
District Judge Stephen Nicholls imposed requirements for Tomlinson to follow an overnight curfew for six weeks and carry out 200 hours of unpaid work.
He was ordered to pay £3,000 compensation to his victim and he received a 12-month restraining order.
