THE bank holiday weekend is just around the corner and there's lots happening across Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole and beyond.

Calling all those with a love for all things nautical. The Maritime Festival is being held in Parley Lane at Hurn between 10am and 4pm on Saturday, April 30 and Sunday, May 1. Free yoga sessions will be taking place in Bournemouth and Christchurch every Sunday from May 1. Park Yoga Christchurch takes place between 9.30am and 10.30am at Christchurch Quomps with yoga in Bournemouth Central Gardens every Sunday between 9.30am and 10.30am. visit https://parkyoga.co/

Humans and their four-legged friends are invited to Bobby & Co in Bournemouth on Saturday, April 30 between 2pm and 6pm for a Dogs Day Out. There will be games, puppuccinos, photo opportunities, stalls and more on the first floor.

A plant sale and spring fair takes place at Twynham Church in Barrack Road on Saturday between 10am and 2pm. There will be flower and vegetable plants, garden items, plant tombola, toys, fun stalls, bricabrac and more. Visitors will also be able to purchase bacon and sausage baps and homemade cakes.

Africa Comes to Bournemouth will bring African and Caribbean music, art and culture to the Triangle on Saturday and Sunday. Activities will include drumming workshops, African dancing, Caribbean dancing, urban street dance, live music, crafts stalls and more.

Bournemouth Electric Club hosts a 999 Emergency Vehicle Day on Sunday between 10am and 4pm. There will more than 70 vintage vehicles, a classic car display, activities for children, live entertainment, food stalls and a bar. Tickets are available through Eventbrite.

Teddy Rocks festival comes to Charisworth Farm in Blandford between Friday and Monday. Acts lined-up include Eagles of Death Metal, Terrorvision, The Fratellis, Newton Faulkner, Black Water County and Saints of Sin.
