A DRIVER from Poole has been prosecuted for not being in a position to have proper control of a van.
Jason Paul Jones, aged 46, was alleged to have driven a Iveco Daily on the A350 Melksham, Wiltshire, on March 12 when he was in such a position that he could not have proper control of the vehicle.
Jones, whose address was given as Parkstone Avenue, Poole, pleaded guilty to the offence and was dealt with at a Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, April 19, which he was not present at.
The bench issued him with a £220 fine and an order to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £110 costs.
His driving record was endorsed with three points.
