A FORMER barman at Lighthouse in Poole will realise a teenage dream when a play he helped create arrives at the venue this weekend for the final date of a UK tour.
Josh Tucker said he will be "so proud" to bring A Partnership to Lighthouse on Saturday, April 23.
Josh said: “The show has developed since and I’m working on other projects, but as a keen supporter of the show and a company member I’m really looking forward to being there on Saturday in the audience – I'll be so proud.”
The play has been produced by Paper Mug Theatre, the company Josh Tucker helped set up while graduating from a drama school in London.
Josh directed the play at the 2019 Edinburgh Festival where it attracted a raft of four and five-star reviews before transferring to London.
Josh described the play as “an LGBTQ+ tragicomedy two hander that explores internalised homophobia and honesty in a relationship”.
He added: “I’ve known Lighthouse all my life. I grew up in Poole, was at the Jellicoe Theatre and went to Baden Powell School. We did some school things at Lighthouse, and I was there with Poole & Parkstone Productions, and of course I worked behind the bar there.”
