ONE lucky person from the New Forest has become a millionaire after winning the sum from the EuroMillions.
Camelot UK Lotteries Limited, who operate the National Lottery, confirmed it has received a claim for the £1m EuroMillion UK Millionaire Maker prize from a ticket bought in the New Forest on Friday, March 25.
With this lucky ticket-holder now having come forward all 10 prizes from the draw have now been claimed, meaning that 10 brand new millionaires have been created.
As with all major prizes, the claim will now go through the process of validation, which includes checks to ensure the games rules terms and conditions are adhered to and the integrity of The National Lottery is protected.
Subject to validation, the prize will then be paid at an appointment with one of Camelot’s winners’ advisers.
Camelot’s Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery, said: “What amazing news for this lucky ticket-holder who has claimed their prize. We will now focus on supporting the ticket-holder through the process.
“The National Lottery is all about making life-changing things happen, and with the special EuroMillions draw on March 25, 10 lucky ticket-holders are now life-changing millionaires.
“We’re encouraging everyone to check their tickets online by downloading the National Lottery app or at national-lottery.co.uk.
“You can also buy and check your tickets in retail. Playing online via the website or app means that your ticket is checked, and you get an email notification if you win a prize. You can also scan your retail tickets on the National Lottery app to check if you're a winner.”
