A MAN has been banned from a Bournemouth night club for a year after being convicted of an assault at the town centre venue.
Joshua Hill, aged 20, was alleged to have assaulted a man by beating him at Cameo in Glen Fern Road on October 3 last year.
Hill, of Holly Lane, New Milton, pleaded guilty to the offence at a West Hampshire Magistrates’ Court hearing on April 7.
He was due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on April 21 but was not present.
The defendant was in the dock at the Dorset court on April 23 where he admitted failing to surrender to custody having been released on bail.
Magistrates handed the defendant a 12-month community order for the assault, which included an exclusion requirement not to enter Cameo.
He must also take part in up to 10 days of rehabilitation activity requirement and pay £100 compensation to the victim.
Hill received no separate penalty for the failing to surrender matter.
