A man was taken to hospital after being stabbed in Holdenhurst Road in Bournemouth on Monday night.
Police were called by the ambulance service to the scene, near Lidl on Holdenhurst Road, around 7.39pm.
A report said a man had been found with injuries.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "The victim – aged in his late teens – sustained stab wounds and attended hospital for treatment. His injuries are not life-threatening."
One eyewitness said armed police were on scene near Lidl in Holdenhurst Road.
Officers carried out enquiries in the area.
An investigation is under way to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
No arrests have been made.
