AN IRISH themed pub with music, quiz nights and live sports that you can see from every table – O’Neill’s is our pub of the week.
O’Neill’s on Old Christchurch Road in Bournemouth is the place to be for ‘great food, cold beer and sporting events’.
General manager Greg Macdougall has been at O’Neill’s for three years.
Greg said: “The pub is known for sporting events, including football, rugby and boxing. You can see a screen from every single table.”
The outside seating area is getting ready for summer and will be getting a refresh with new furniture, painting and lighting.
The pub has a lot to offer. The outdoor space can fit up to 240 people outside and is a popular spot in summer. The garden also welcomes dogs.
The pub has also recently revived its menu, including new vegan items.
Greg said: "Around 80 per cent of our menu has been updated.
"I’ve always been a meat eater, but when I tired the new vegan items on the menu, I really enjoyed them.
"We're also due new cocktails and some new flavour gins soon."
The Irish themed pub is also known for its Guinness - which shouldn't be a surprise.
Greg said: "If you come to O’Neil’s then you should probably try Guinness.
"We also have a full range of craft beers."
Monday nights have become very popular due to the ‘interactive smartphone quiz night’.
The £1 entry quiz consists of different themed rounds where the winning team takes all.
Greg said: “We’ve had guests come to watch the football then decide actually, I want to do the quiz instead because it looks so fun”.
Every Saturday evening the pub also has live music performances from 9pm. Greg said: "The atmosphere is great at the weekend, the football will be on in the day then change over to live music.
You can find O’Neill’s at 231 Old Christchurch Rd, Bournemouth BH1 1JZ.
