A HOME care provider has impressed inspectors just months after being told it was ‘inadequate’.
Bloomfield Care Limited, based in Wareham, has now been rated ‘good’ after Care Quality Commission inspectors found the provider had made “significant improvements”.
Inspectors found the manager has since stopped providing regular hands on care and instead focused on their role and responsibilities.

The CQC report said: “This meant they were able to ensure service delivery was consistent by overseeing systems and processes, embedding them into the service and ensuring they were sustained.
“All staff had completed comprehensive training and knew how to safeguard people from abuse.
“Through pre assessments and ongoing care planning, the service had identified potential risks to people and had detailed, person centred plans in place to mitigate risk of harm.
“People told us staff were kind and caring and they felt safe.”
One person told the inspectors the carers were always on time and had never missed a call, adding she felt safe.
Inspectors also found medicines were managed safely and lessons were learned when things went wrong and staff felt supported and had up to date training.
The report continued: “People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests.
“Staff understood how to treat people with dignity and respect and people's experience of their care confirmed this.
“The last rating for this service was inadequate and there were breaches of regulation.
“The provider completed an action plan after the last inspection to show what they would do and by when to improve.
“At this inspection we found improvements had been made and the provider was no longer in breach of regulations.”
Manager of the service, Russell Bloomfield, said: “We are very proud at Bloomfield Care of the hard work the team puts in every day.
“There is no question the challenges have kept on coming, from working around Covid to the recruitment challenges more recently.
“Through the leadership of registered manager Helen Blunden, the team kept level heads and a passion for what they do, at all times.
“The support from the CQC along with local authority has been refreshing and valuable, as we set about implementing our action plan.
“As a result, we were looking forward to our next inspection and we are now delighted with the outcome.
“We would like to thank firstly our fantastic team of carers and also all of those involved with us at Bloomfield Care."
