A NEW bakery in Westbourne is celebrating after a busy opening weekend.

The newcomers to Westbourne, BigWigs bakery opened their second store in Westbourne during Bank Holiday weekend, a little more than a year after their Tuckton branch launched.

Owners Tom Bew and Dominic Brown said: "We have had a fantastic first weekend and are so excited to be part of the Westbourne community.

"Everyone has been so welcoming and friendly."

Tom and Domonic are both chefs by trade and were very excited when the opportunity came up to open in Westbourne as they believe BigWigs will be a great addition to the community.

The store sells a range of products including hot foods. 

The brunch bun is something they have become 'really known for'.

Tom said: "It's all homemade and consists of sausage patty, smoked bacon, hash brown, double cheese, fried egg in our brioche bun."

The bakery also plans to offer more than just quality local food to the community as Tom and Dominic said: "Watch this space for late night openings, boozy drinks and ever changing food offers."
