THE owner of a classic car is appealing for the public’s help after it was stolen from the driveway of his Poole home.
A police investigation is ongoing after the two-door bronze-coloured Ford Escort MK1 saloon was taken overnight from outside the property in Mossley Avenue, Wallisdown.
The car theft took place sometime between midnight and 5am on Tuesday, April 12.
The vehicle owner’s appeal goes out to anyone, including taxi drivers, who may have recorded dashcam footage of the car being transported during the earlier hours of April 12.
“If you know someone who has any knowledge of where it is or have any information about it, then please contact Dorset Police on 101 in the first instance and, or, contact Trickett Welding vehicle restoration on 01202 625050,” he said.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said officers have been carrying out enquiries and no arrests have been made.
