Train lines between Branksome and Bournemouth were closed early on Saturday morning.
A spokesperson for South Western Railway said at 4.56am that emergency services were dealign with an incident between the two stations.
"We’ve been advised of emergency services dealing with an incident between Branksome and Bournemouth and all lines are currently blocked. Trains may be cancelled, delayed, or changed because of this problem", the spokesperson said.
The incident was clear around 30 minutes later.
