Fire crews were called to Evening Hill in Sandbanks on Sunday night to deal with a blaze.
Crews from Poole and Hamworthy were sent to the scene around 7.14pm following reports of the fire on the hill side.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said the blaze was an area of 10 metres by 10 metres.
It was extinguished using two hose reel jets and aLandrover pump and crew dampened down to prevent escalation.
