A WEEKEND of events has been planned at Wimborne Minster to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee next month.
The Minster Church of St. Cuthburga will be celebrating with an event entitled Arts, Crafts, Flowers and Music.
Taking place from Thursday, June 2, to Sunday, June 5, The Minster will be open from 10am to 4pm Thursday to Saturday and 12noon to 5pm on Sunday.
Three local art clubs, Twenty4Art Group, The Wimborne Art Club and Dorset 2020 Arts Society, as well as students from Queen Elizabeth’s School, will be displaying their artwork.

Quilting by Rae Cotton and Christine’s Creations of Knitted Toys will be on display along with some Embroidery work by the Minster Broderers and Dorset Buttons from Maureen Edwards.
Wimborne Model Town will also be putting on a display as will local beekeeper John Bunting.
On the Sunday, in addition to the normal services, both in the morning and evening bell ringers will be ringing a full peal during the afternoon to mark the Jubilee.
Entrance to The Minster Church is free, although donations are welcome to upkeep the church.
