BOURNEMOUTH’s newest café opened its doors to members of the public yesterday.
Moka Pot, which already runs a popular café in Westbourne, celebrated the opening of its newest site in the Burlington Arcade in Bournemouth.
Customers flooded through the doors from 7.30am to enjoy the café’s selection of delicious bread, pizza, pastries, cakes, coffee, breakfast and lunches.
Speaking on the morning of the opening, Moka Pot’s founder, Flavio Pappalardo, said: “I am very excited. It has been a very long journey.”
Moka Pot was created by Flavio and his brother Flavio Pappalardo, two Italians who partnered with UK-born Nathan Muir to bring together flavours of Sicily and England.
Flavio added: “We believe Moka Pot is a fusion between Sicily and England.
“A lot of places are closed early morning. We want to change that. We want to be here early for people, like those going to the office. It means they can take time to enjoy a breakfast.
“We want people here to be happy. We want to serve fresh food and good food.”
The newest Moka Pot store is open 7.30am to 6pm Monday-Saturday and 9am to 3pm on Sunday. You can find it at 10/12 Burlington Arcade, Bournemouth, BH1 2HZ.
