“PLEASE come home. We miss you. We love you. We’re so worried.”
The family of a man who has gone missing from Bournemouth has issued a desperate appeal as searches continue to find him.
Darren Miller, 51, was last seen in Nutley Way at around 7.40am on Monday, May 16, when he left the area “unexpectedly”.
Police received a report raising concern for his welfare at around 2pm the same day.
Darren’s family said: “Please, if anyone has any information – large or small – please reach out, we just want our dad home safe or even just to know he’s safe.
“Dad, if you’re seeing this, please come home. We miss you. We love you. We’re so worried. If you are not ready to come home, that’s fine – just let us know you’re safe and ok."
Darren is described as white, five feet seven inches tall and of medium build with stubble and black or grey shaved hair. He has ‘love’ and ‘hate’ tattoos on his knuckles and usually walks with a crutch.
Chief Inspector Greg Tansill, of Dorset Police, said: “Our extensive searches and enquiries are ongoing in a bid to locate Darren and we would continue to urge anyone with information as to his whereabouts to please come forward.
“Darren regularly walks his dog in the local community and while he is not with his dog at this time, we are issuing an image of him with his pet in the hope that this may jog someone’s memory.
“I would like to appeal directly to Darren that if you see this appeal, please contact us or your family as we are all worried about you. If you would just like some time away, please get in touch and let us know.”
Anyone with information or knowledge as to Darren’s whereabouts is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email 101@dorset.pnn.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55220077644.
