THE KINDNESS of a Tesco petrol station worker has left one regular customer speechless.

Paul Gibson was overwhelmed by the thoughtfulness of a worker from Tesco Petrol Station, Tower Park in Poole

Supermarket employee Sharon Stevens decided to surprise her regular customer Paul and his dog Ralphie by making a handmade replica of Paul's van which she filled with treats and toys for Ralphie.

Paul said: "I work for AYS skip company and I refuel my lorry at Tesco most days. My dog Ralphie always sits in the lorry with me and every time I go there two ladies always come out and give him a little treat when I’m filling up.

"Sharon has been feeding him for months and she came out the other day with a handmade replica of my lorry which she had filled with loads of treats for Ralphie and she also got him his own little hi-vis vest."

Sharon said: “Ralphie just makes my day a bit brighter because obviously, a lot of people have been going through it a bit recently with the fuel crisis and cost of living crisis so I wanted to give something back to him.”

“Ralphie gets so excited when he comes to the petrol station because he knows he’s going to get a treat. Ralphie was really excited when I gave him the gift and he started playing with the toys straight away.”

Bournemouth Echo:

Ralphie is a jug, a Jack Russell cross pug. Sharon is a dog lover and has her own Jack Russell. When she received a £5 gift voucher from her boss, she decided to use it to buy the treats and toys she filled the handmade lorry with.

Sharon said: “I just made the lorry from cardboard and things like that, I am a bit of a crafter I enjoy making things. It doesn’t cost anything either.”

Paul said: "I was blown away really because it was such a nice and thoughtful gesture."
