The power pair behind the bakery are Marta and Istvan, and they are excited to bring the family business to Christchurch.
Istvan said: “It’s a very busy area. There are nice shops all around.
“I know there are coffee shops in the area but we’re trying to do something a bit different.
“We have homemade cakes, and we’re planning to do nice sandwiches from our award-winning sourdough bread.”
Marta and Istvan first began baking cakes at home, which they’d then sell at local markets.
Inspired to take their passion further, they then launched M’s Bakery and opened their first store in Pokesdown.

Soon, Christchurch will be able to enjoy the award-winning bread, as well M's impressive cake and pastry selection.
“We’ll have a lot of the same products, and maybe some new things.
“We hope it will be open in the next couple of weeks. We’ve been working on it for a while.
“We’re excited and a lot of people are excited as well.”
