A DRIVER in Poole was reportedly spotted by police on their phone.
Further enquiries were said to reveal that the car was uninsured before the motorist reportedly failed a drug wipe for cannabis and cocaine.
The driver, who was stopped in the Turlin Moor area, was previously known to Dorset Police for recent offences, officers said.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “While we were on an inquiry in the area of Turlin Moor, Poole, our attention was drawn to the vehicle.
“The driver had previously come to police notice regarding driving offences in the last 12-18 months, but more recently everything had been all in order, we had done lots of engagement work, signposting to agencies and previous stops.
“Last month had been a positive outcome with the driver changing their ways. Until today, the driver was using a phone whilst driving, the insurance ran out last week, and they failed the drugwipe for cocaine and cannabis.
“The driver was arrested and taken into custody for the drug drive procedure and has been released pending the results of the blood, she had only recently just got her licence back but is likely now to fall back to being disqualified again for a long period. Back on the radar.”
