A TENNIS coach investigated for “non-recent sex offences” has faced a meeting with the Lawn Tennis Association.
Dorset Police conducted an investigation into the individual at the West Hants Club in Talbot Woods after being made aware of allegations in October 2020.
The investigation was subsequently dropped, however the LTA said it reviewing the case.
A spokesperson said: “Following the conclusion of the police investigation into this case the LTA continued to investigate the matter.
“A coach was provisionally suspended from all tennis activity with adults or children in October 2020.
“The Safeguarding & Protection Committee have met to review the case and their process is ongoing.
“Once that process and any appeal period is concluded we will communicate the outcome to the relevant parties.”
Speaking of the investigation, a Dorset Police spokesperson said in May 2021: “Following enquiries carried out in joint partnership with the LTA, he has been released from the investigation and will face no further police action in connection with these allegations.”
