TWO unauthorised encampments have been set up across Poole and Christchurch over the weekend.
BCP Council says it is aware of encampments on private land near Somerford roundabout and also in Sandbanks car park.
Up to ten living units and associated vehicles are situated on private land at the old Travis Perkins site near Somerford roundabout in Christchurch which was reported to the council on Saturday, May 28.
Meanwhile in Poole an unauthorised encampment, consisting of two living units and associated vehicles, is in the Sandbanks car park – however it is believed there are currently more vehicles than initially reported by the council on Sunday, May 29.
A spokesperson said: “Required assessments have been carried out and police are aware.”
