A DEMOLISHED beach hut was set on fire and had to be extinguished on Swanage beach on Wednesday evening.
One crew from Swanage Fire Station mobilised at 6.54pm on Wednesday, June 1, after a fire was reported on the shoreline of Swanage beach.
Once in attendance, crews found a bonfire had been made from a demolished beach hut and set alight.
The person who started the fire was seen running away when firefighters arrived at the scene.
The blaze was ultimately extinguished using buckets of water and the beach was then tidied up by crews.
