THE nation has just celebrated an extended four-day bank holiday weekend.
The historic occasion for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee was marked with a special holiday.
The UK has eight public holidays a year.
If you’re already thinking about the next public holiday, there’s a little while to wait until the next long weekend.
The next bank holiday won’t happen again until Monday, August 29, which is the annual summer bank holiday.
Then we will have to wait until Boxing Day on Monday, December 26 and Tuesday, December 27.
As we look ahead to 2023, the UK bank holidays will be as follows:
Monday, January 2 - New Year’s Day
Friday, April 7 – Good Friday
Monday, April 10 – Easter Monday
Monday, May 1 – Early May bank holiday
Monday, May 29 – Spring bank holiday
Monday, August 28 – Summer bank holiday
Tuesday, December 26 – Boxing Day
