A MUM said she was living a “nightmare” after having her car keys and wallet containing her driving licence stolen from a gym locker.
Harriet Slade, 33, took her children swimming at the Village Gym in Deansleigh Road, Bournemouth, and placed her items in a locker at around 5pm on Sunday.
After returning to the locker she found her car keys and driving licence had been stolen. Her car, a six-month old Ford Fiesta hadn’t been stolen.

However, after calling a locksmith and managing to get home, the thieves returned and stole the vehicle from her house during the night.
Ms Slade said: “The Village didn’t have much empathy, they just said ‘sorry’ and asked to see which locker it was.
“It was traumatic. The police called at 10.30pm and we missed it so we couldn’t report it until the morning.
“I asked to cancel my membership which was declined, I said I don’t feel safe and had to write to head officer to explain what had happened.
“Someone finally called back and reiterated there was no negligence on their part.
“It was a family changing room, children are meant to be safe. At no point do I feel safe, it’s a nightmare.”
Ms Slade said she was told by the gym members use lockers at their own risk but said paying £51 a month you expect to have a level of security.

She continued: “I’m the best part of £20,000 out of pocket and have had no form of compensation offered.
“I would like the police to act on it quickly. I’ve found the whole process really slow.
“All my children slept in my room that night. They had my address, it’s unnerving. I have had all the locks changed but they could come and kick the door down.”
A spokesperson for the Village Hotel in Bournemouth said: "This is a criminal investigation in which we are assisting the police with enquiries."
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "We received a report at 7.30am on Monday May 30 relating to the theft of a vehicle.
"It was reported that the items were stolen from a locker at The Village Hotel and Leisure Club in Deansleigh Road some time between 5pm and 6.15pm on Sunday May 29 2022. These included the victim’s mobile phone and various keys.
