A WOMAN has been spared a driving ban due to the exceptional hardship it would have after she was caught using a car without insurance.
Cristina Souto Belver, aged 40, admitted the single offence of using a Honda vehicle in Oxford Road, Bournemouth, without a relevant insurance policy on February 9, 2021.
Belver, whose address was given as Wimborne Road, Bournemouth, appeared in the dock at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on June 7.
She was fined £219 and ordered to pay a £34 surcharge and £110 costs.
Magistrates endorsed the defendant’s driving record with six points.
However, court papers stated there was no totting disqualification as exceptional hardship was found due to the loss of employment and financial impact.
