ROBOT waiters will be on hand to serve customers out for a 'byte' to eat when a new restaurant opens in Bournemouth this weekend.
Bella and Hola will work alongside human staff at “luxury new dining experience” Cosmo which opens at St Peter’s Quarter in St Peter’s Road from Sunday, June 26.
The “cute and efficient” pair will interact with guests and can even sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to customers who are celebrating at the eatery.
COSMO will cater for 344 covers and create more than 50 full and part time jobs.
It is opening at the site of the former Days buffet restaurant which closed in 2020.

Diners will also be able to enjoy desserts and drinks.
COSMO head of operations, Suzanne Wink, said: “There’s something on the menu for everyone at COSMO - from Mongolian stir-fried lamb, chicken tikka masala and Greek moussaka to pizzas, pasta, burgers and the family favourite - a carvery roast dinner.
"There are plenty of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options too.
“We are so pleased to be bringing this fantastic dining experience to Bournemouth.
"Every day we will prepare more than 150 authentic dishes to give our customers a tasty journey around the world."
COSMO was founded in 2003 and has opened 20 restaurants across the UK and Ireland, including Edinburgh, Glasgow, Nottingham, Oxford, Dublin and Southampton.
Ms Wink added: “Opening one of our popular international buffet restaurants in Bournemouth was a great decision for COSMO because of its reputation for being a brilliant place to live, work and relax.
“We look forward to opening our doors and welcoming guests - book ahead and visit us soon.”
COSMO in Bournemouth will be open for dinner seven days a week and lunch on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays.
